Ajith Vedalam/Vedhalam Creates Sensation over Box Office Records :
Vedalam creates history again. Ajith Kumar’s much awaited film Vedalam released on November 10 as Diwali release and the film has created history at the box office by breaking all records in Kollywood with its first week collection.
Vedalam grossed 15.5 crore on day one, making it the biggest opening in Kollywood and the film collected the 25 crores in 2 days. Within first week, Vedalam collected 50 crores from Tamilnadu. After collecting 47 crores within 6 days, it was yesterday that the film joined the 50 crore club.
The commercial entertainer is written and directed by Siva, which is produced by A. M. Rathnam. The film features Ajith Kumar, Shruti Haasan, Lakshmi Menon, Aniket Chouhan, Kabir Singh in the lead roles. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music and the background score.
Ajith Kumar starrer Vedalam has broken box office collection records of Rajinikanth’s ‘Lingaa’ and Vijay’s ‘Kaththi’. Vedalam now has an overall 73 crores gross collection worldwide. It is likely that Vedalam is to be the first Ajith starer to enter the 100 crore club as based on trade analysts reports.
The film released in over 500 screens across Tamil Nadu. Ajith Kumar’s Vedalam was up against Kamal Haasan’s ‘Thoongavanam’ which also released on Diwali.
