Actor Madhavan's trailer of his latest film has been earning praise from the doyens of Indian cinema. Titled Irudhi Suttru in Tamil and Saala Khadoos in Hindi, we will see the actor playing a boxing coach in this film. Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan launched the trailer of the Tamil film and also expressed his happiness on the occasion.

He stated that while Madhavan - or Maddy to friends - may consider him as his mentor, he thought of Madhavan as a friend. Kamal Haasan also added that when he cast him in his film, he did so in a secondary role. But when the movie released, people thought that both the roles were equal.

Kamal Haasan and Madhavan's relationship goes back many years and they have worked on numerous films together. Kamal stated that the trailer of the film showed how hard Madhavan had worked on the film, right from his physique and body language to his demeanour. He wondered how Maddy could pull off a 'khadoos' role as the ever-smiling actor was as nice as one could be.

'Irudhu Suttru' / 'Saala Khadoos' has been directed by debutante Sudha Kongara and produced by Y Not Studios, Thirukumaran Entertainment, Rajkumar Hirani and Tricolour Films. The movie will release in January 2016.

Actor Ranbir Kapoor began his Bollywood career with a bang, although his 2007 debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious project Saawariya bombed.
But a clutch of films such as Bachna Ae Haseeno, Wake Up Sid, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Raajneeti, Rockstar, Barfi and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani made him a heartthrob of millions.
The purple patch lasted till 2013, though.
In October 2013, Besharam opened to packed houses, but failed to garner a positive response. It was declared a flop. Abhinav Kashyap helmed the film and the audience had high expectations from him after his successful directorial debut in 2010 with Dabangg.

Kapoor hadn’t recovered from this jolt when Roy bombed at the box office too. It was even a bigger failure, but the worst was yet to come.
Anurag Kashyap earned a reputation for himself as a remarkable auteur after Gangs of Wasseypur, so it made heads turn when he decided to cast Ranbir and Anushka Sharma in his dream project, Bombay Velvet. This mega budget film was promoted like crazy and there was hardly a billboard where Kapoor didn’t invite the spectators to halls. But then, the unthinkable happened. Today, Bombay Velvet is among the biggest flops that the Hindi film industry has ever produced.

But can putting a brave front hide his recent box office record? In another interview, Kapoor explained: “I feel the pressure with every film. But to be honest, my first film didn’t do very well at the box office, so I have a certain acceptance of failure. I have seen failure more than I have seen success.”
He said the audience has trusted him and he didn’t want to take advantage of that. “With my previous three outings, I let them down. It is my responsibility to do better things, and choose better films, and act better. So, of course, I take that responsibility.”

A new, extended theatrical trailer of Bajirao Mastani is out, and to put it mildly, it’s a mixed jhola.

First off, when it is clear Sanjay Leela Bhansali doesn’t seem to be interested in any attempt at historical authenticity, why does Ranveer Singh speak with that definitely-not-Maratha accent? If his role is dialogue-heavy, then the film will be an arduous watch, despite the fact that it looks like Ranveer (and SLB) haven’t compromised on the intensity that the dynamic actor brings to his characters.

Speaking of accents, is that Alex Parrish one spotted there along the sidelines? You may like her or detest her, but Priyanka Chopra is someone who has made herself a pan-national icon. A pity that she’s clearly in a supporting role in this film. Piggy’s acting chops may fluctuate, but her presence is always a boon, because she can light the silver screen on fire when she wants to.
