It is now a common knowledge that Endhiran sequel is named 2.0, and Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is playing the villain in the film. The film production recently in an interview to IndiaGlitz revealed more about the film. They also told the rough budget of the Rajinikanth-starrer.
Lyca Productions is planning to spend somewhere around Rs 350 crore for the film. So going by the fact, 2.0 will become the costliest movie ever made in India. When asked if they can recover the money after the release, the production side replied that with Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar in the film it is very likely.
As an end to the many speculations about another female lead in the film, the production house confirmed that Amy Jackson is the only heroine in the film. It is also said that Akshay Kumar is charging a whooping Rs 25 crore for the film.
The music for the film will be composed by two times Academy Award Winner AR Rahaman. Another Oscar Award Winner Rasool Pookutty is handling the sound design for the film. The crew also consists of many Hollywood technicians to choreograph action sequences.
It is said that the film will hit the screens by 2017.
Lyca Productions is also co-producing Chiranjeevi's 150th film along with Ram Charan Teja, and they will also bankroll a film directed by AR Murugadoss's assistant director.
